OUR PHILOSOPHY
Touch Institute Los Angeles (TILA) is committed to educating the community on the benefits of touch and to providing health and wellness services for the entire family. Whether a child or senior citizen, an athlete or weekend warrior, or an individual with physical or psychological challenges, all populations, regardless of age or need, can benefit from the positive affect of compassionate touch on overall health and well being.
The heart of TILA is the Center for Pediatric Touch Therapy. A Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist (CPMT) is specially trained and certified to meet the therapeutic needs of children and teens including developing athletes, well kids, and children with pre-diagnosed physical and/or psychological challenges. A certified Infant/Pediatric Massage teacher provides education for parents & caregivers. CPMT's & instructors are independent contractors, licensed by the state and the City of El Segundo. Bodywork therapists are Self Employed/ Independent Contractors licensed by the City of El Segundo and certified by the State of California (CAMTC). Therapists who provide services at TILA have advanced training and specialized certifications to provide adults with clinical bodywork including relaxation & deep tissue work, sport therapy, muscle re-education, stretching, therapeutic hot stone, cupping, and reflexology. Therapeutic bodywork may improve muscle tension, pain and stiffness, enhance flexibility & mobility and help reduce anxiety and stress. Sports therapy is specifically designed to help improve athletic performance, promote recovery and prevent injuries.
Estheticians who provide services at TILA are Self Employed/ Independent Contractors licensed by the City of El Segundo and the State of California Board of Cosmetology. Each is specially certified in organic skin care to meet your specific skin care needs. 2020 was a challenging year for all of us, and for some, an especially sad and devastating one. We offer our prayers and condolences to all those impacted by the pandemic and our sincere gratitude to all healthcare professionals and essential workers on the frontlines. We welcome 2021 with hope for a better year and best wishes for your health and happiness. While Touch Institute has been closed more than it's been open over the past year, our desire to bring you and your family the best in health and wellness has not changed. We will continue to do all we can to survive so that we can open our doors and welcome you back soon! Thank you for your continued love and support and Happy New Year!
APPOINTMENTS - Temporarily Closed.
Once reopened, please contact your practitioner directly and review all new policies and procedures. As risk increases with time spent in indoors, services will be restricted to 50 minutes. Per the LA County Board of Health, all clients will be required to complete a Covid-19 Intake Form 24 hours prior to every appointment, regardless of previous appointment history. You may access the Covid-19 Intake Form by clicking the link in the navigation bar above. If you are in doubt as to whether any symptom you have could be a symptom of Covid-19, please reschedule. High risk clients are especially cautioned and encouraged to wait until a safer time.
NEW PROCEDURES - All clients will be required to remain in car until treatment room is sanitized and practitioner is set-up. Clients will be screened & temperature taken prior to entry. A properly fitted face mask is required to enter and hands must be washed/sanitized prior to entry and prior to commencement of service. and after service. If you touch it - sanitize it!
For Massage & Stretch Therapy - Face mask must remain in place during entire treatment.
For Skincare - Face Mask must remain in place during entire treatment.
*Please note - Only one client at a time is permitted in treatment room, no guest may accompany client, and no waiting in spa, (our waiting area is closed). No eating or drinking is permitted in spa at any time. Please leave water bottles and any unnecessary personal items in your car. Air purifiers have been installed in treatment rooms and to increase ventilation, doors will remain open, as well as windows where possible. If you require a blanket for comfort, you may bring one in a sealed bag.
