QI GONG CLASSES
What is Qi Gong
The word Qi, means energy or life force.
Qi is the fundamental life force/energy that permeates and
sustains all life in the universe.
The word Gong, means work or skill.
Qi Gong may be translated as energy work or a cultivating
life force. It is an ancient holistic health care system belonging
to the five branches of traditional Chinese medicine.
Qi Gong is a gentle practice that incorporates easy-to-follow
movements combining posture, breath, sound,
and visualization. It is based on the observation of nature.
Practicing Qi Gong brings a sense of calm, clarity, and
relaxation to the body, mind, and spirit. As the body's Qi is an energy system, Qi Gong helps to balance and recharge the body’s Qi. Practice strengthens internal and external balance and harmony to help improve health for a happier and longer life.

Qi Gong is adaptable to accommodate individual needs and abilities and is suitable for all ages.
Classes are primarily done standing, but can also be done sitting in a chair. Classes are comprised of warm-ups, stretching, breathing practices, and flowing movements.
